Mobile App Development:

Your Business in Your
Customers' Pocket

A mobile app is not just a smaller version of your website. Done well, it becomes the most direct, high-retention channel your business has. We build iOS and Android apps that people actually use.

Mobile apps that succeed have one thing in common: they solve a specific problem so well that users open them regularly by choice. They are not built to tick a box they are built around a clear job to be done, with a user experience smooth enough that the tool gets out of the way and lets the user accomplish what they came to do.

What we build and how we choose the approach

01

Cross-platform apps (React Native)

One codebase that deploys to both iOS and Android. React Native is our default recommendation for most business apps because it delivers a genuinely native user experience at roughly 60% of the cost of building two separate native apps. Updates ship simultaneously to both platforms. The trade-off marginal performance limitations for the most complex interactions rarely matters for business applications.

02

Native iOS and Android

When platform-specific performance is the priority apps with complex real-time interactions, hardware-intensive features like camera processing or augmented reality, or apps that require deep OS integration we build native. Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android. The result is the fastest, most capable application possible on each platform.

03

Progressive web apps (PWAs)

For use cases where a native app install is a barrier but you want app-like behaviour offline access, push notifications, home screen installation, fast load times a progressive web app is often the right answer. PWAs work on any device with a modern browser and eliminate the app store approval process. They are particularly effective for B2B tools where the user base is defined and can be directed to install.

04

Backend and API development

Every app needs infrastructure behind it user authentication, data storage, push notifications, API endpoints, third-party integrations. We build the full stack, not just the app. The backend architecture is designed for the app’s specific data patterns and traffic characteristics, not a generic template.

Frequently asked questions

Should I build a mobile app or a mobile-optimised website?

A mobile-optimised website is always the starting point it reaches every user, requires no installation, and is indexable by search engines. A dedicated mobile app makes sense when you need features a website cannot provide: offline access, push notifications, native device integration (camera, GPS, biometrics), or a high-frequency use case where the user opens the product daily. If users would use it less than weekly, an app is rarely worth the investment.

How long does a mobile app take to build?

A focused app with a clear core feature set a booking app, a field operations tool, a customer loyalty app typically takes 12 to 20 weeks from design to App Store submission. More complex apps take longer. We build to an MVP first: the core value of the app, deployed and tested with real users before the secondary features are built.

What does App Store and Google Play submission involve?

Both stores have review processes before an app can be published. Apple’s review typically takes 1 to 3 days for new submissions and a day or less for updates. Google Play typically reviews within hours to 1 day. We handle the full submission process app store listing, screenshots, descriptions, privacy policy, age ratings, and any reviewer questions. We know what causes rejections and build to avoid them.

How do you handle app updates and ongoing maintenance?

Both iOS and Android release major OS updates annually, and apps need to be tested and updated to maintain compatibility. We offer ongoing support agreements that cover compatibility updates, bug fixes, and security patches. We also build apps with future development in mind clean architecture that makes adding features later faster and less risky.

Do you build the app design as well as the code?

Yes. App design and development are handled together by our team. We do not hand you a development project and expect you to arrive with polished designs. The design and engineering process runs concurrently, which produces better outcomes than the traditional handoff model where designers finish before engineers start.
